Product details
Kaleidescape Mini Terra Prime 8TB is a compact movie server with eight terabytes of solid-state storage. Two integrated SSDs hold licensed films, television series and concerts from the Kaleidescape store for playback through compatible network-connected Strato players.
Silent storage and multiple playbacks
The Black steel enclosure is convection cooled and has no internal fan. Its 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection supports high-speed downloads with a suitable network and broadband service; Gigabit Ethernet is the minimum supported connection. The server can supply up to twenty-five standard 4K playbacks, or fifteen simultaneous 4K Cinematic/8K playbacks with suitable players and titles.
Library expansion and placement
Grouping a Strato player with Mini Terra Prime enables the full library views, collection tools and parental controls. Up to four compatible servers can be grouped within a system for additional storage. Rack shelves and wall mounts are available separately, with top, front and rear clearances required for cooling. The server stores the library, while a separate Strato player supplies the picture and sound connections to the cinema system.
