Product details
Kaleidescape Compact Terra Prime SSD 246TB combines 246 terabytes of solid-state movie storage with a compact Black anodised-aluminium enclosure. Two 123 TB drives hold licensed Kaleidescape movie-store downloads for playback through compatible Strato players across the home.
Large collections and simultaneous playback
The server supports up to twenty-five standard 4K playbacks, or fifteen simultaneous 4K Cinematic/8K playbacks with compatible equipment and content. A 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection is recommended for best network performance, with Gigabit Ethernet as the minimum. Kaleidescape specifies typical fan noise of twenty decibels A-weighted.
Custom-install flexibility
Grouping with Strato enables the full Kaleidescape library views, collection management and parental controls. Up to four compatible servers can be grouped in a system for additional storage. Optional rack shelves accommodate one or two compact units within 1U of rack space. The separate external supply accepts universal mains input, and the chassis requires front and rear ventilation clearance. Movie purchases or rentals and the Strato playback hardware are separate from the server.
