KEF’s original Kube10b is a sealed active subwoofer built around a 250 mm driver and 300 W RMS Class D amplifier. Its cabinet, driver and electronics were developed together to support controlled bass for music and home cinema.
Intelligent bass processing
A 56-bit, 50 MIPS DSP preamplifier manages the signal and applies KEF’s iBX Intelligent Bass Extension. The processing analyses the input and coordinates driver output with available amplifier capability, helping maintain bass extension and dynamics at different listening levels.
Flexible installation and system matching
RCA line-level/LFE and speaker-level inputs accommodate different amplifiers and processors. SmartConnect detects mono or stereo input and adjusts the level accordingly. The low-pass filter is adjustable from 40–140 Hz with an LFE setting, while phase selection and three placement presets help integrate the subwoofer in free-standing, wall/in-cabinet or corner positions.
