KEF’s R7 Meta is a three-way floorstanding speaker for detailed stereo listening and immersive home cinema. A 12th-generation Uni-Q array places a 25 mm tweeter at the centre of a 125 mm midrange cone, supported by 2 × 165 mm (6.5 in) hybrid aluminium bass drivers.
Uni-Q with Metamaterial Absorption Technology
MAT absorbs unwanted sound from behind the tweeter. Shadow Flare reduces cabinet-edge diffraction, while a flexible decoupling chassis and constrained-layer damping limit vibration and colouration.
Controlled bass and system matching
Hybrid aluminium cone construction combines an aluminium skin with a paper cone for stiffness and controlled motion. Flexible rear ports reduce resonance and turbulence. KEF recommends a 15–250 W amplifier; nominal impedance is 4 Ω.
Supplied as a stereo pair with magnetic microfibre grilles and plinth/spike accessories and port bungs. Available in Black Gloss, White Gloss and Walnut; Titanium Gloss Special Edition is also offered.
