Product details
The Vivid Audio KAYA S12 is a compact two-way loudspeaker that brings the brand’s tapered-tube technology into a 12-litre enclosure. A 100 mm C100L alloy-cone bass/midrange driver works with the D26 alloy-dome tweeter, creating a small speaker for stereo, studio and multichannel systems.
Tapered-tube acoustic loading
An exponentially tapered tube wraps around the cabinet interior to absorb unwanted resonances and assist the bass-reflex system. The 26 mm tweeter also uses tapered-tube loading. The moulded polyurethane-resin cabinet follows the curved form associated with Vivid’s larger speakers, avoiding the broad flat panels of a conventional box.
Flexible placement and finishes
The S12 can be supported by a dedicated optional stand or fitted to a purpose-designed wall bracket. Piano Black, Lexus Pearl White and Oyster Matte are standard finishes, with bespoke PPG automotive colours available by request. Vivid recommends amplifier power between 25 and 125 watts. Stands and wall brackets are separate accessories.
