The EMM Labs DV2i combines a network streamer, discrete digital-to-analogue conversion and variable line-level output. Its proprietary Dual Differential DAC modules work with MDAT2 signal processing and a newly designed Class A analogue output stage.
Conversion and volume control
The internal 16×DSD architecture describes the converter’s processing rather than a claim that every input accepts DSD1024 files. USB audio and network playback support the specified 2×DSD, DXD and MQA formats. VControl manages output level, with selectable high and low gain settings and user-controlled signal polarity. MFAST acquisition and MCLK3 asynchronous clocking support digital signal handling.
Streaming and analogue integration
Network services include compatible Roon operation, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Deezer and UPnP/DLNA sources. EMM Optilink provides a dedicated connection for a compatible EMM CD/SACD transport, alongside AES/EBU, coaxial, optical and USB inputs. Balanced XLR and RCA stereo outputs feed suitable downstream amplification. Silver with a Black insert or an all-Black chassis provides two finish choices.
